English language development support
We support students in developing the academic English skills needed for success at university. This includes coordinating the Post-Entry Language Assessment (PELA), promoting and supporting the STEM Academic Writing Essentials (AWE) modules, and leading language development initiatives that help students strengthen their academic writing, communication, and study skills throughout their degree.
If you have questions about PELA, STEM AWE, or English language support, please contact the English Languager Coordinator Dr Tan Yin Ling at tanyinling@curtin.edu.my
First aid course
In line with the current practice at Curtin Perth, all engineering students are no longer required to complete First Aid training in order to graduate from the course. Starting from Semester 1 2023, it is now an optional course for all engineering, computing, and Computer Systems and Networking students.
However, First Aid training is now mandatory for Applied Geology students before joining any field trips.
For more information, please contact Ms. Jacqueline Martin at jacqueline.m@curtin.edu.my.
