Get a sound understanding of accounting principles and financial markets.

This double major combines accounting and finance, giving you complementary skills across both areas. Demand for graduates with accounting and finance knowledge is strong worldwide, and graduates can work in many countries.

In the accounting major, you will learn accounting concepts, financial statements, accounting standards and regulations, auditing, taxation and relevant business law and financial management. In the finance major, you will study financial markets and institutions, investment and portfolio management, corporate finance, funding decisions, financial analysis and reporting, derivatives and risk management.

Your qualification will be recognised internationally, including by the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), CPA Australia, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), and the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA). You may also be eligible to join professional accounting bodies. In addition, graduates may be eligible to apply for membership of the CFA Institute.
