Eligibility
- Malaysia citizen
- Student (or at least one of the parents) is Sarawakian (IC bears the letter ‘K’)
- Has obtained a minimum of Credit for Bahasa Melayu subject in the following examinations; obtained at least Grade C in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) / Malaysian Certificate of Education; or obtained at least Grade C in General Certificate of Ordinary Level (GCE O-Level); or obtained at least Grade B6 in Unified Examination Certificate (UEC)
- Has been offered to study at Curtin University Malaysia.
Application process
To ensure a successful application, please prepare the following compulsory document:
- Copy of IC (student, parents, and guarantors)
- Copy of Birth Certificate (student)
- Letter of Offer from Curtin University Malaysia (Foundation/Diploma or Undergraduate programs)
- Copy of SPM / GCE O-Level / UEC Certificate with at least Grade C or B6 in Bahasa Melayu subject
- Copy of parents’ pay slip / EA Form / Income Declaration Form, or copy of guarantors’ pay slip / EA Form
- Bank account statement (student)
- Copy of Latest Academic Results or Transcripts
- Nomination of two (2) guarantors with permanent jobs and aged less than 60 years old.
*All document must be certified true copy
Submission process
- You must submit all applications online at Apply@YS
- Yayasan Sarawak will send an email containing the agreement documents needed to proceed with the loan if it approves the application
- The student is responsible for completing all required agreement documents within the due date and posting the hard copies to Yayasan Sarawak’s office for further processing.

Important information
- Your application will only be processed if
- your Letter of Offer does not indicate any Conditions
- For undergraduate programs; you have completed and received transcript for your Foundation or Diploma studies
- Please retain a copy of your application summary and email it to Loans and Scholarships Unit for their reference
- First payment will be disbursed after Yayasan Sarawak has processed the complete set of your agreement documents, while subsequent payments will be considered after they have received the copy of your examination results.
