Document guidelines for international applications

Required application documents

To apply for a course at Curtin University, Malaysia, you must submit certified copies of your previous qualifications and English proficiency documents. Additional documents may be required depending on the specific course or your individual circumstances.

For the purpose of assessment during the application process, Curtin accepts unofficial transcripts. However, if you are offered admission and accept the offer, you will be required to provide official transcripts and degree conferral documents.

Certification of documents

Copies of academic transcripts and award certificates must be signed, dated, and accompanied by an official stamp or seal from one of the following authorised entities:

  • an authorised Curtin representative or agent
  • a Global Curtin Admissions staff member
  • a person with official authority at the issuing institution, such as the academic registrar or school principal
  • a Justice of the Peace
  • a Commissioner for Oaths or Declarations
  • any notary public

Certification and verification of qualifications from China

If your qualifications were obtained in China, your transcripts and degree certificates must be verified by the Centre for Student Services and Development, Ministry of Education, P.R. China (CSSD). All verification reports issued by CSSD must be issued in English. For more information in Chinese, please visit the official CHSI website.

For qualifications that cannot be verified by CSSD, please have them certified following the guidelines provided below:
