Clinics are additional, informal learning sessions provided by academic staff to students. The aim of the sessions is to support students’ learning in an informal environment, where students can freely ask questions and check their own understanding of the knowledge outside of the classroom. Students are welcome to walk-in and participate in the scheduled clinics sessions.
Each Faculty selects a few units to implement clinics. These are typically first-year units, or units which are traditionally more complex, which benefit from the added support. Academics design the learning activities that take place in each clinic, which could range from discussions, practice questions or case studies, recap of key concepts or points, problem-solving or others.
