Examination Clash
An examination clash occurs when either:
- You have 3 or more examinations scheduled on 1 working day and/or
- You have 2 examinations scheduled at the same date and time and/or
- You have 3 examinations in a 24 hour period (based on the commencement time of the assessment) *
* Example – Examinations Day 1 (8:30am, 6:30pm) and Day 2 (8:30am) – This is not considered a clash examination as the examination on Day 2 commences in the next 24 hours.
If you find examination clashes in the Draft timetable you should await the publication of the Final timetable before reporting these clashes as amendments to the Draft timetable may affect the examinations that have clashed.
If you find there is an examination clash after the publication of the final timetable you can complete the Request for Alternative Examination – Clash which can then be authorised by the Faculty and forwarded to the Examination Office for appropriate alternative examination arrangements to be made.
The deadline for submission of the authorised Examination Timetable Clash form to the Examinations Office is two weeks prior to the commencement of the Centrally Scheduled Examination Period. Please refer to the Key Examination Dates webpage for specific dates.
