Pre conference workshop
The GlobeCoReS 2025 is scheduled from 3 to 5 December 2025. 3 December will feature a pre-conference workshop. The main conference sessions will take place on 4 and 5 December. This 3-day event brings together researchers, community and global leaders, policymakers, practitioners, and sustainability advocates to foster evidence-based dialogue and interdisciplinary collaboration in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The pre-conference workshop, titled “Bibliometric Analysis for Research Visibility: Scopus & VOSviewer Essentials,” is a hands-on workshop that aims to introduce participants to the fundamentals of bibliometric analysis using Scopus and VOSviewer. Designed for researchers across disciplines, the session covers key bibliometric indicators and tools for mapping research output, collaboration networks, and thematic trends. Participants will engage in guided exercises using pre-prepared datasets and learn to conduct four core types of bibliometric analysis: co-authorship, co-occurrence, co-citation, and bibliographic coupling. The workshop supports researchers in using bibliometric insights to inform publication strategies, enhance research visibility, and plan collaborative projects.
