An analysis of the activities during each phase of a project including concept, development, implementation and completion. Review of project management processes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRJM6010 Project and People<\/strong><br \/>\nThis unit explores organisational development and the design of the organisational structures including: perceptions, personality, motivation, leadership, group processes, performance appraisal, conflict and work redesign. Practical approaches to improving effectiveness and enhancing the quality of life at work are discussed with reference to new issues confronting the way work is organised and managed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRJM6001 Project Cost Management<\/strong><br \/>\nThis unit explores cost and value management processes within a project environment, including methods and techniques of estimating, budgeting and controlling. Project financing is discussed with reference to project evaluation and selection methods, including life cycle costing, scoring and cost benefit analysis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRJM6002 Project Time Management<br \/>\n<\/strong>This unit explores time management within a project environment including: time programming and scheduling; bar charts; networks; line of balance; time estimating content; control monitoring; constraints; resources; analysis and reporting.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRJM6025 Agile Management<br \/>\n<\/strong>This unit provides an overview of the important values, principles and key practices related to adopting and leveraging Agile ways of work to help optimise strategic organisational objectives and delivery projects in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. Students will apply Agile business and project management theory to the adoption and application of Agile ways of work for prioritising value and delivering projects in an incremental, iterative and collaborative approach.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRJM6003 Project Risk Management<br \/>\n<\/strong>This unit explores risk management within a project environment including issues of: management process identification; analysis and response; types of risk; qualitative and quantitative risk analysis techniques e.g. scoring; sensitivity analysis; probability analysis; Monte Carlo and Utility theory.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRJM6004 Project Procurement Management<br \/>\n<\/strong>The unit explores project procurement, acquisition planning, source selection, procurement documents, tendering and awards and contract administration. It considers the body of law that affects procurement and elaborates on procurement processes identified in PMBOK, for example, outsourcing, SCM and relationship-based procurement models.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRJM6005 Program and Portfolio Management<br \/>\n<\/strong>This unit explores: strategic planning; stakeholder management ; communication management; and project management information systems.<\/p>\n<p><strong>URDE6006 Design and Built Environment Research Methods<br \/>\n<\/strong>In this unit students are introduced to the concepts, methods, tools and techniques of research and investigation in design and built environment. Identification and formulation of a research problem, a research design and methodology and a literature review are expected outcomes of this unit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRJM6012 Project Management Dissertation<br \/>\n<\/strong>The development and completion of the research report initiated in Project Management Research 1 under the direction of a supervisor. This entails the integrative management of scope, time, cost, quality, risk, communication, procurement, human resources and risk.
