Get future-ready with a humanities degree at Curtin

Having held a diploma before joining Curtin Malaysia, I received a one-year exemption in my degree, completing it in just two years. Despite initial nerves, my time there was rewarding. Two years post-graduation, I still keep in touch with many friends from Curtin Malaysia, reminiscing our days at Curtin Malaysia.

Bachelor of Communications (Journalism and Public Relations) graduate

I took part in the Techstars Startup Weekend organised by the TEGAS Digital Innovation Hub in Miri in collaboration with Curtin Malaysia. I enjoyed it tremendously and won in my category together with the people I teamed up with. Furthermore, I gained entrepreneurship skills other people pay huge sums of money to acquire for absolutely free. I also met amazing people who have become friends and can be potential business partners in the future.

At Curtin Malaysia, I have not only gained in terms of an education, but also life skills like dealing with people and friends. It has been quite a journey for me, with bittersweet memories, but it has been largely a journey of self-discovery and one I’ll cherish always.
