{"id":1118,"date":"2023-07-03T06:38:40","date_gmt":"2023-07-03T06:38:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/curtin.edu.my\/student\/?page_id=1118"},"modified":"2023-07-03T08:37:25","modified_gmt":"2023-07-03T08:37:25","slug":"complaints-and-conflict-management","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/curtin.edu.my\/student\/student-essentials\/standard-and-conduct\/complaints-and-conflict-management\/","title":{"rendered":"Complaints and Conflict Management"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Curtin is committed to effective complaint\/grievance management, with the objectives of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>minimizing personal and organizational dysfunction arising from unresolved complaints<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>providing a fair, effective and open organizational response to complaints<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ensuring that complaints are addressed according to the principles of procedural fairness, in a timely and confidential manner, at the&nbsp;lowest appropriate management level<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>promoting organizational and personal learning and development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Complaints will be managed with common sense, respect and fairness, efficiently, confidentially, and in a manner which affords procedural fairness to all parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>All&nbsp;general misconduct<\/strong>&nbsp;complaints submitted online or in paper form will be dealt with by the Chief Operating Officer, in consultation with the Pro Vice-Chancellor of Curtin Malaysia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>All academic misconduct<\/strong>&nbsp;complaints will be handled by the Deputy Pro-Vice Chancellor according to Curtin University&#8217;s academic misconduct policy and procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Complaint Categories<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are unsure or unable to identify the most appropriate category, please fill in the\u00a0Online Complaint Form below. The form includes a list of complaint categories to assist you in identifying your main concerns and simplifying the lodgement process for complainants.
