During the registration process, you will be given the opportunity to choose to attend different ceremony location and date (E.g: Perth ceremony, Miri ceremony and etc).<\/p>\n<p>You will also be able to\u00a0view a sample award with your formal name\u00a0and full course title as it will appear on your official award certificate. If you found\u00a0any error, please inform\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:graduations@curtin.edu.my\">Graduations Office<\/a>\u00a0IMMEDIATELY.<\/p>\n<p>Seating is limited\u00a0at ceremonies and quickly fills to capacity. Academic regalia include\u00a0a gown, the appropriate sash and mortarboard.<\/p>\n<p>Instruction on how to hire regalia will be provided on registration. This will ensure you\u00a0receive all future correspondence from the university. As a courtesy to your fellow graduates, and to ensure the smooth running of this important occasion, please be on time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p align=\"justify\">During the ceremony:<\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<ul>\n<li>Presentation of awards \u2013 you will be invited to move to the front of the stage and have your name and order checked. Staff will ensure regalia is worn correctly before crossing the stage. You will cross the stage to receive award and shake the Chancellor\u2019s hand. A photo will be taken on presentation of the award. You then return to your original seat.<\/li>\n<li>Charge to graduates<\/li>\n<li>Closing remarks and entertainment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n            <\/div>\n<\/div>                    <div class=\"accordion\">\n            <button class=\"accordion__heading accordion__toggle\" aria-controls=\"what-is-the-graduation-statement\" aria-expanded=\"false\">What is the Graduation statement?<span class=\"ico ico-chevron-fat ico--deep-blue\"><svg xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" viewBox=\"0 0 32 32\"><path d=\"M10.91 30.41l-2.82-2.82L19.67 16 8.09 4.41l2.82-2.82L25.33 16 10.91 30.41z\"\/><\/svg><\/span><\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content content\" id=\"what-is-the-graduation-statement\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p>The\u00a0Graduation\u00a0Statement\u00a0is an official document provided to\u00a0graduates\u00a0by awarding institution\u00a0in addition to their award certificate. It contains\u00a0information about the course, the award, the institution and the Australian Higher Education system. The\u00a0Graduation\u00a0Statement\u00a0also includes a section on special achievements of the\u00a0graduate, which include official scholarships and prizes. This provides other institutions and potential employers with a broader understanding of the achievements of the\u00a0graduate.<\/p>\n<p>Curtin introduced the\u00a0Graduation\u00a0Statement\u00a0for students who were conferred after 1 November 2010.\u00a0Graduates\u00a0who completed their studies prior to 1 November 2010 will not be eligible to receive a\u00a0Graduation\u00a0Statement. The design of the Curtin\u00a0Graduation\u00a0Statement\u00a0is based on nationally agreed specifications approved by the Department of Education and Training.<\/p>\n<p>Curtin University does not currently provide a GPA to its students or\u00a0graduates. A GPA will not appear on the\u00a0Graduation\u00a0Statement. The Course Weighted Average, as currently displayed on the Academic Transcript, will be displayed on the\u00a0Graduation\u00a0Statement.<\/p>\n\n            <\/div>\n<\/div>                    <div class=\"accordion\">\n            <button class=\"accordion__heading accordion__toggle\" aria-controls=\"when-will-i-receive-my-graduation-statement\" aria-expanded=\"false\">When will I receive my Graduation Statement?<span class=\"ico ico-chevron-fat ico--deep-blue\"><svg xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" viewBox=\"0 0 32 32\"><path d=\"M10.91 30.41l-2.82-2.82L19.67 16 8.09 4.41l2.82-2.82L25.33 16 10.91 30.41z\"\/><\/svg><\/span><\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content content\" id=\"when-will-i-receive-my-graduation-statement\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p>Eligible graduates will receive their Graduation Statement with their complementary Academic Transcript.<\/p>\n\n            <\/div>\n<\/div>                    <div class=\"accordion\">\n            <button class=\"accordion__heading accordion__toggle\" aria-controls=\"what-is-the-difference-between-a-graduation-statement-and-an-academic-transcript\" aria-expanded=\"false\">What is the difference between a Graduation Statement and an Academic Transcript?<span class=\"ico ico-chevron-fat ico--deep-blue\"><svg xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" viewBox=\"0 0 32 32\"><path d=\"M10.91 30.41l-2.82-2.82L19.67 16 8.09 4.41l2.82-2.82L25.33 16 10.91 30.41z\"\/><\/svg><\/span><\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content content\" id=\"what-is-the-difference-between-a-graduation-statement-and-an-academic-transcript\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p align=\"justify\">An Academic Transcript can be issued at any time during the course and records academic history as a student progresses. Students do not need to have had an award conferred to receive an Academic Transcript.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">The Graduation Statement contains additional details about the nature of the award and also shows any approved special achievements that may have been awarded, such as approved scholarships.<\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<ul>\n<li>List of Scholarships and Special Achievements included in the Graduation Statement<\/li>\n<li>Scholarships<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p align=\"justify\">Note:\u00a0Only merit scholarships are included in the Graduation Statement.<\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<ul>\n<li>Special Achievements<\/li>\n<li>Member of the Vice-Chancellor\u2019s List<\/li>\n<li>Chancellor\u2019s Commendation (Exceptional Higher Degree by Research Thesis)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n            <\/div>\n<\/div>                    <div class=\"accordion\">\n            <button class=\"accordion__heading accordion__toggle\" aria-controls=\"will-my-grade-point-average-gpa-be-on-my-graduation-statement\" aria-expanded=\"false\">Will my grade point average (GPA) be on my Graduation Statement?<span class=\"ico ico-chevron-fat ico--deep-blue\"><svg xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" viewBox=\"0 0 32 32\"><path d=\"M10.91 30.41l-2.82-2.82L19.67 16 8.09 4.41l2.82-2.82L25.33 16 10.91 30.41z\"\/><\/svg><\/span><\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content content\" id=\"will-my-grade-point-average-gpa-be-on-my-graduation-statement\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p align=\"justify\">Curtin University\u00a0does not use or calculate a Grade Point Average. However under the Curtin University Grading system, a CWA of 0.00 is the minimum, a CWA of 50.00 is the mid-point and a CWA of 100.00 is the maximum, and this scale may be used to calculate an equivalent GPA\/CGPA.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">A\u00a0CGPA will not appear on the Graduation Statement. The\u00a0Course Weighted Average\u00a0(CWA),\u00a0as currently displayed on the Academic Transcript, will be displayed on the Graduation Statement.<br \/>\nIf you wish to\u00a0convert your grades to CGPA, you can apply it from Miri\u00a0Students Services Centre with a fee. For enquiries, please email Student Services Office.<\/p>\n\n            <\/div>\n<\/div>                    <div class=\"accordion\">\n            <button class=\"accordion__heading accordion__toggle\" aria-controls=\"how-can-i-request-that-something-be-added-to-or-removed-from-my-graduation-statement\" aria-expanded=\"false\">How can I request that something be added to or removed from my Graduation Statement?<span class=\"ico ico-chevron-fat ico--deep-blue\"><svg xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" viewBox=\"0 0 32 32\"><path d=\"M10.91 30.41l-2.82-2.82L19.67 16 8.09 4.41l2.82-2.82L25.33 16 10.91 30.41z\"\/><\/svg><\/span><\/button>\n        <div class=\"accordion__content content\" id=\"how-can-i-request-that-something-be-added-to-or-removed-from-my-graduation-statement\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n                    <p>The Graduation Statement is produced using a specified format, approved by the University, which meets the guidelines set out by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR).<\/p>\n<p>It is\u00a0<strong>not possible<\/strong>\u00a0to have individual achievements added to or removed from the Graduation Statement unless they have been approved by Curtin as meeting the guidelines, such as formal merit-based scholarships. The\u00a0document fees webpage\u00a0covers details of the cost of ordering these documents.<\/p>\n<p>Note: You can download and email or print an unofficial Academic Transcript (Academic eRecord) via eStudent in OASIS.<\/p>\n<p>If you have a sanction or exclusion placed on their record (e.g. outstanding fees, library fines) will not be able to access your results or be provided with an Academic Transcript until you have cleared the sanction or exclusion.
